"On Friday I showed up on UCSC campus at the new International Living Center as they were about to begin the Peace Pole planting ceremony. I offered the flags and two students hung them right behind the podium where the chancellor and administrator spoke from so they are in all the photos. On Saturday I brought them to the Santa Cruz Kucinich volunteer kick-off gathering (for an Imagine America event on May 25) and again the decision was made to hang them on the stage in full view.
